Scripps sells Palm Beach County research campus to University of Florida

JUPITER — The College of Florida has bought The Scripps Exploration Institute’s three buildings in Jupiter and 70 empty acres once reserved for Scripps nearby in Palm Seaside Gardens.

Also included in the sale are the investigate institute’s staff members, devices, $102 million in money and investments, use of the Scripps name and – most likely the most useful – all royalties from upcoming discoveries or investigation projects at the campus.

The promoting price? $100.

Scripps’ sale closed at midnight, according to an asset transfer arrangement offered to The Palm Seaside Article by the University of Florida on Jan. 14.

The move continues the complex background between Palm Seashore County and Scripps, a person of the world’s major bioscience investigation companies, and expands UF’s footprint in the state’s third-greatest county.
