The Bauchi Condition Federal government has warned that it would punish the top officers and some school administrators above 15,000 cases of examination malpractice during the 2021 Simple Education Certification Assessment (BECE).

Commissioner for Schooling, Dr. Aliyu Tilde, who gave the warning yesterday while briefing the push stated that 52,000 students sat for this year’s BECE with 45,000 of them from public educational facilities.

He disclosed that there had been 15,000 instances of examination malpractices in the essay section, stating that, “I have video clip evidence of the examination malpractices in my possession.”

He claimed: “We are not going to punish the students but certainly we will punish the prime officers. And will not enable them to perform subsequent examinations. That is the minimum we can do and will do that.”
