The Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa, has used the expert services of 55 local hunters to shield lives and assets in and all over its campus.

The FUD Main Facts Officer, Alhaji Abdullahi Yahaya, introduced this in a statement in Dutse, the Jigawa state cash on Tuesday, News Company of Nigeria studies. 



Yahaya stated the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo, experienced accepted the using the services of of the regional hunters.

He said that they were being engaged from the state’s branch of the Nigerian Hunters Council.

According to Yahaya, the go will enable to render sufficient help to the university’s security unit in patrolling the campus, specially at night.

He quoted Sabo as saying the university wants the services of the hunters since of their vast awareness of the communities. 

He also described the hunters as very well suited for the task because of their ruggedness.

The spokesperson extra that the hunters were offered a a few-week schooling by the stability division right before deploying them to the industry.

“When the Main Security Officer of the College, retired Col. Abubakar Siddique introduced the plan, the administration bought into it for the reason that of the advanced stability issues dealing with the place.

He included, ”While patrolling the campus at night, Sabo impounded tinted cars at girls’ hostels, whose owners’ suspicious functions with the female college students were being from the university’s procedures and laws.

“The VC, who observed that the feminine college students are in the college to research and as their guardian, the administration will not permit outsiders to compromise their ethical values.”

The spokesperson said the VC also issued warnings to both equally academic and non-educational employees customers towards sexual harassment of college students.

He was also quoted as cautioning the students from incorrect behaviour to the personnel customers of the university.
