Teacher allegedly told black kids to pick cotton, wear shackles
A white instructor in Rochester, NY, is less than fire for allegedly telling his course of mainly black seventh-graders to select seeds out of cotton and set on shackles for the duration of social research lessons about slavery.
Patrick Rausch allegedly taught the lesson about slavery and how cotton is processed at the College of the Arts very last Tuesday, WXXI Information described.

Jahmiere’s mom, Vialma Ramos-O’Neal, mentioned she at first didn’t believe that it when he explained to her he’d picked cotton in university — but she then arrived across Tross’ stunning Facebook submit.
Ramos-O’Neal’s son also explained to her that Rausch experienced allegedly used slurs referring to his developmental incapacity.
“I have fought all together for Jahmiere to be provided in almost everything his peers are, and this person degraded him, insulted him and produced him not want to be black,” Ramos-O’Neal advised the Democrat and Chronicle.
“I was in shock,” she claimed.
The two youngsters also instructed their moms that Rausch had built black students dress in handcuffs and leg shackles previously in the 12 months — and that when they unsuccessful to wriggle out of them, he allegedly said, “It’s Alright, your ancestors couldn’t, possibly,” the newspaper said.
Rausch also reportedly threatened to mail Ja’Nasia to the principal’s office or the college counselor if she refused to set on the restraining equipment.

The mothers and fathers are calling for Rausch to be axed and for his teaching license to be revoked.
